Likely to be published in March 2010. Authors are request to submit the papers and reports concerning their areas of study in typed format with resumes. Selected contributors for the reports would be paid a token remuneration for their contribution. Please note the following dates

ASSIGNMENTS FOR GIS/RS Semister I
Problem Statement:
Prepare a System Design Document for a department - the system design should be part of the Geographical Information System, inclusive of System Input (Data and Information required), System Process (Analytical) and System Output (Maps, Charts, Reports etc.).
For the system design you must start with decision to be taken for the departments. Example for the system design departments can be - Urban Planning, Water Supply, Property Tax, Forest, Transport, Fire Brigade/Disaster Management, Housing /Estate, Environment Management, Public Health etc.
Submission Format:
Use sheet of paper for representing system design in Flow diagram, indicating the various items or functions, relationship between the items. You may submitt the diagram in A3 or A4 sheets.

IUSSP Conference on Population concludes in Marrakech (Morocco)
Merrakech (3rd October), The XXVU IUSSP international conference on population concludes with concerns expressed on the plenary held on the population and environment, specifically targetting the general views expressing the inability of world to address the issues concerning the environments, had called demographers to participate in the climate change studies in the world. The conference has more than 2400 participants, dicussing various research themes in more than 220 regular paper discussion sessions and poster presentations.
